Welcome
to Mainebows.com. Sally and Jim Goodsell started Mainebows in 1994 out of their
home in Nobleboro, just up the road a bit. After 11 years with their noses to
the grindstone, they are ready to play golf and enjoy the sunshine. I have been
their seamstress since the company opened and feel fortunate to be able to continue
with the company name.
My name is Linda Robertson. My family and I live in the small fishing/tourist
town of Boothbay on the coast of Maine. My husband is a lobster fisherman (lobsterman
Bob) and we share our cottage with our old cat, George, who keeps the mice in
check. Our two beautiful daughters and one handsome son-in-law have escaped
our clutches and only appear for occasional lobster feeds and boat rides in
the summer, or when we pretend to be deathly ill. One daughter has come to her
senses and returned to live in Bar Harbor, Maine, just a couple of skips from Acadia National Park. (She's the glue that keeps this site together and often comes to my rescue!) The other still prefers the monotonous warm weather
of North Carolina.
That’s
about it. I look forward to providing the same great service to old customers
and new. Now I’ll let you get back to ordering some ties!
